Watershed Mentoring is based in St. Albans, Vermont. We match caring adults as mentors for youth ages 5-17 in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. Our youth referrals come from schools, pediatricians, social workers, state agencies and parents. Based on an application and interest survey we match youth with adults with similar interests. All adults complete an application, interest survey and give us permission to run a criminal background check. Upon a successful background check, reference checks and an interview, a match is made and a meeting set to see if there is a mutual interest. Watershed provides training and regular support meetings for the mentor as well as large group activities throughout the year.
